Thank you for visiting my online portfolio.  I received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Westwood College, having graduated Magna Cum Laude, and have completed a Graduate Certificate in Communication from Walden University with a 4.0 grade-point average.  I am presently working to complete a Master of Science degree in Communication from Walden University with an emphasis on digital communication and social media.  My professional experience includes a decade of web design and development, as well as graphic design and print production.

Web Development

I began as a professional web developer at Namco Cybertainment Inc. as an entry-level webmaster, responsible for the design and maintenance of the company's web presence.  Shortly after assuming these responsibilities, I began to explore the greater world of classic ASP coding in VBScript, as well as interfacing with Access databases.  This eventually led to becoming Senior Web Developer, in charge the design and development of an internal company training, ordering, and informational web portal utilized by hundreds of employees around the country in their daily tasks.

Graphic Arts

In addition to my skill as a web developer, I worked closely with the marketing department at Namco Cybertainment Inc. in the various stages of program implentation and design, including preliminary mock-ups, production artwork, maintenance of brand integrity, and preparing work for press.  Additionally, I was key in the production process, working directly with vendors to obtain cost-effective quotes, approve proofs, and schedule production in order to effectively meet deadlines.

Game Art

With graphic and programming experience under my belt, I wanted to explore a new frontier: Game art.  The emphasis of my studies was particularly in the area of world design and environmental art, working to construct textures and 3D designs that would help create a vivid world which encourages exploration.  My training is primarily in the use of Autodesk Maya in concert with Unity 3D, however, I also have experience with Autodesk 3DS Max, and am comfortable in navigating its interface.

Mobile Gaming

While attending Westwood College, I became very interested in the mobile marketplace, and realized that my skillset was converging into this new area.  With a joint background in graphic art and a newer focus on game art, combined with programming experience not only in classic ASP, but in Java, C++, C#, and much of the .NET environment, the pursuit of a degree specialized in mobile gaming seemed to be the next logical direction in which to focus my skills.  I have partially completed a Master of Science degree in Mobile Gaming at Full Sail University, and hope to resume completion in the near future.

Experience Summary

My previous experience includes scripting and programming in Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, C++, PHP, and C# within Eclipse, HTML, ASP, and ASP.Net environments.  I am skilled in the use of Photoshop and Illustrator, and have had experience with print production pipelines.  More recent programming experience includes scripting in JavaScript and C# inside of Unity, the use of ActionScript 3 as a development environment for Android-based games, and working within Java and Eclipse for Android development.  I am also Google Analytics certified.
