Time: 72 hoursSoftware: Maya 2012, Photoshop CS5.5946,000 tris

Developed as a scene to showcase rendered particle effects for an Advanced 3D class, this temple implemented specular and bump maps in addition to rendered particle systems within Maya.  Fire particle systems were used to animate the torches along the walls, while a water particle system was used for the running waterfall.

This scene was also the basis for a live demo level inside the Unity game engine.  Although this rendered scene includes hi-poly objects (the central columns were 50,000 tris each, or roughly 20% of the scene's tris), the Unity level was updated to reduce poly count and to allow for real-time effects.
