Call of Duty: Supreme Court Tournament Edition

This paper was written prior to the Supreme Court ruling in Video Software Dealers Association v. Schwarzenegger, No. 07-16620 which was filed in response to a California law that would fine retailers for selling Mature-rated games to minors. The focus of my research was to provide a history of First Amendment rulings in similar cases by federal appeals courts, as well as to provide a framework for understanding the reasons that the issue before the Supreme Court was so important.
